MSc Data Science at King's College London provides the essential knowledge and advanced skills for a successful career in data science: collecting, curating and analysing data with a rigorous grounding in data analytics and big data. Students are trained in Python and SQL across key aspects of statistics, data mining and databases, data warehousing and information retrieval, with optional modules drawing on the Department of Mathematics — including statistics in finance, statistical learning, machine learning, neural networks and deep learning, and data visualisation and telling stories with data.

About this programme
Designed for graduates and professionals with a quantitative background, the programme is taught by the Department of Informatics across the Strand and Waterloo campuses. Halfway through the degree, students undertake a major project producing an original artefact — software, code or a prototype — in response to a research or industry problem, with the potential to partner with a company on the project.
